Lucaya's Frontpage
Welcome to my Website

Hi, I'm Lucaya and welcome to my re-launched website.

Some of you may know that due to a hacker attack, my site has been down for a few months. It took this long to get it back up because I have been a bit busy since April.

I am first and foremost an actor and my life's focus is the arts and entertainment. However, I have had to face the reality of the present economic situation and last year I came to the decision that I needed to do some different things in my life. So after spending over two years in New York City and being able to work on several documentaries, one in which I wrote and directed, I made the decision go in a different direction.

So enjoy the site and please understand that the reconstruction has just begun and will take several months to complete.

Lucaya's Biography

I am a woman in my mid-twenties. Since I was a very young girl my dream in life was to be an actor, to be involved in the theater and to entertain. I love it and will always pursue this dream.

I attended the State University of New York at Oswego and earned my Bachelors in Arts degree in Acting and Directing. I am proud to say that I graduated Summa Cum Laude and spent four years with some amazing people, many of whom I will always consider my close friends.

I spent a summer studying at the Circle in the Square Theater School. This is the only theater school that actually has its own location on Broadway and counts among its alumni some of the great names in acting, directing, and writing. I also spent several months touring the country, doing Educational Theater for the Hemstead Company. This was both a grueling and rewarding experience. Daily live performances, sometimes more than one per day, then packing up and moving to the next location. I learned a great deal from this experience.

In addition to both dramatic and musical theater, I have been lucky enough to have been involved with several video documentary projects. These were primarily travel related shows in which I was able to be Host, Narrator, and Photographer. In my final documentary, "Passage to Paris",  I was given the ability to take full charge of the entire production. I wrote the script, developed and directed the location shots, hosted the live shooting, did the post-production voice-over work and shot many of the scenes. These documentaries were not only a lot of fun, after all, I got to travel all over Europe, but were a great learning experience for me.
